Andrew recently played Prince charming in the production of Cinderella at Harpenden Halls in December 2008 with Act One Pantomimes.
This production of Cinderella has been chosen as the Best Pantomime of 2008 in NODA East District 3 - NATIONAL OPERATIC AND DRAMATIC ASSOCIATION - the award will be presented at the annual NODA awards ceremony
A very brief summary of the Pantomime and comments about Andrew by NODA critic Nova Horley
This was a fun pantomime, very traditional, with some of the jokes being extremely cringe-worthy, but as always made the audience laugh!!
I loved all the musical numbers, right from the rousing overture, to the swinging finale. They were all very apt and showed that thought had gone into getting both the sound and the ambience right, and the balance between band and singers was very good.
All in all a lively and very entertaining pantomime in the best tradition, I thoroughly enjoyed all it had to offer, and came away feeling uplifted, with the impression of having had a very good evening’s entertainment – in fact much better than the small professional version of Cinderella I saw the previous week – so well done everyone and I look forward to the next year’s production.
'"Andrew Rowdon (the Prince), has a lovely voice and gave it a great shot for his first panto outing".
